Glutamine is the most common, naturally occurring amino acid in the body. Glutamine is normally a non-essential amino acid, i.e. the body can produce it itself, but during periods of extreme stress the body can consume more glutamine than it produces. Then glutamine is counted as a conditionally essential amino acid.

In the body, it is muscle tissue that produces the most glutamine, but the amino acid is present in a large number of tissues and functions. Glutamine plays a role in protein synthesis, as a transporter of ammonia in the blood, as an energy provider and as a nitrogen donor in anabolic processes and much more. 

Mutant uses exclusively Japanese high-grade L-glutamine from fermented sources. Micronized for better solubility.
